If a road closes
If Babusar is closed we go via Besham, which adds about four hours. If the jeep road to Tattu or the trail is unsafe because of landslide or snow, the departure moves rather than running a partial trip. If that happens before you travel, the refund table in the terms applies.
What to bring
- Original CNIC; you will show it at several checkposts
- Warm layers and a hat: Fairy Meadows is at about 3,300 m and Beyal near 3,500 m; nights are cold even in summer
- Sturdy hiking boots with ankle support for the Tattu trail; trainers for the lodge
- Sunglasses, sunscreen, lip balm
- Personal medication, declared on the health form; motion-sickness tablets if you need them
- Power bank; electricity is intermittent in the valleys
- Cash; card machines and ATMs are unreliable north of Gilgit
- A daypack for the Tattu trail and meadow walks (water, snacks, rain layer)
- Light rain jacket; the meadows can see afternoon cloud
- Trekking poles if you use them at home
Refunds and changes
If Travelzoak cancels, for road conditions, vehicle, rooms or seat count, you get a full refund within seven days or a free transfer. A day lost to a closure during the trip is substituted, not refunded, and that rule is written here before you pay. The whole table is in the terms.
